Card Wallet is a private, offline wallet for membership and loyalty cards, built by COVRU, a company based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. It is designed so that your data never leaves your device. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. Questions: team.covru@gmail.com.
The short version
- The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.
- There are no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no user accounts.
- Everything you put into the app stays on your device.
What the app stores, and where
The cards you add — names, categories, numbers and barcodes, notes, colours, and any photos you attach — are stored only on your device, in the app's local database (IndexedDB). This data never leaves the device. The app does not create an account and does not ask for an email address, phone number, or any sign-in.
Network
After installation, the app makes no network requests. It works fully offline. No usage data, diagnostics, or crash reports are sent anywhere.
Camera
If you choose to use "Scan barcode," the app uses your device camera to read a barcode locally, purely to fill in a card number. Camera frames are processed on-device and are never stored or transmitted. You can use the app fully without granting camera access by typing card numbers manually.
Backups
The "Back up wallet" feature creates a file that you control, saved or shared only through your device's own share sheet to a destination you choose. The app does not upload this file anywhere. If you store or share that file, it is handled entirely by you.
Data deletion
You can delete any card at any time inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes all of its locally stored data.
Children
The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.
